It's been 6 wonderful years since I married my sweetie pie. It feels like it should be a lot more with how many wonderful memories we've had together. Today was another great one to remember for years to come.
Yes, we went to the Milan Duomo, AGAIN! I love this place.
This time we got together with our American friends from church, the Wadsworths, the Clusters and the Lawrences. We got lunch from Luini Panzerotti, a famous place near the Duomo where you can get panzerottis, these little hand-held things that are like a cross between a calzone and a scone. There is always has a huge line but they're pretty efficient about getting you through there and it's definitely worth the wait!
Coo, coo. Here birdie birdie.

I thought the Milan Duomo was pretty old. (started in the 1200's). But lo and behold when you go underneath it, there is an even OLDER one!!!! This one date's back to the 400's. They just knocked over the top half, filled it in and built the new one on top.
Any idea's what this is? How about a baptismal font....in a Catholic church! Yep, this Baptistry was built back in the day's when they still practiced baptism by immersion. Probably why they didn't feel too bad knocking it down: they didn't use it anymore.
Here we are on top of a mall that is right next to the Duomo. Pretty cool to see it so up close from the top. Cali was just interested in making people laugh at her upside down glasses.
Then that night some friends came over to watch the girls (Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!) so we could get out together. We went to the prestigious Teatro alla Scala (La Scala Theatre) The Operas here are famous. However, b/c the tickets to those are ridiculously expensive, and I prefer the ballet anyway, we went to Swan Lake. Sitting through a 3 hour ballet is just one of the many ways Brad show's he loves me. How did I get so lucky? I love this guy so much!
The show ended at 11 and we were starving! Luckily for us we're in Milan, where people eat out late. So we were able to find the fabulous Trattoria Tuscana and enjoy an authentic Tuscan meal. Which is great b/c we'll be lucky to find any of those in touristy Florence.
