Back in 1300, the Dukes of Milan wanted to impress their neighbors, France and Germany. So they built this. It only took about 450 years, but I think they accomplished their goal. The Duomo is the 4th largest Cathedral in Europe. Technically you aren't supposed to take pictures on the inside, but I totally caught some people doing it. Maybe next time. There are 52 pillars about the size of a sequoia tree on the inside. You could practically fit a football field on the inside.....standing up on end.
Big Big Temple!
Tada!! To the left is Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, basically a really cool covered outdoor mall built in 1870. To be checked out at another time =)
Ahhhh, pigeons!
Pigeons Pigeons Everywhere!! (and of course this was the girls favorite part)
