I'm more of a "hit the local park" person than "hit the local stores" person. We found this FABULOUS park on prince island, right in downtown Calgary. They had playground equipment for little kids AND big kids.
Swings!!
Slides!
Oh My!!!
With lots of water, flowers, grass, Geese, and fun we had a great time in Calgary. (Remind me not to visit in the winter, my high opinion of Calagary might change dramatically)
Near Cardston Calgary (just above the montana border) was this ridiculously gorgeous national park called Waterton. It's the Canadian side of the glacier national park. Unfortunately, we were so stunned by the beauty of the views, the only picture I got was of the local wildlife. These deer were everywhere, enjoying the town grass. No wonder everything looks freshly mowed all the time. Hopefully my sister will send me the pictures she took *wink wink*
