Canadian Bowling

While in Canada, Bowl like a Canadian.  Yes, they have the bowling we're so familiar with.  But they also have this special 5 pin bowling.  Laney is showing off her bowling ball.  They are all the same size and shape.  No holes for your hands, they're small enough you can just chuck.  I loved this part about this new bowling.

We started Laney with these frames for kids.  But by the end, she wanted to throw it like everyone else was doing.  It took a really really really long time for these to make it to the pins.

This is the one part I didn't like about Canadian bowling.  Only 5 pins.  Usually you can get 1 or 2 of them, but no satisfying crash of several pins knocking each other over, and strikes come few and far inbetween.  I had no idea how the scoring went, so it was fun to just throw and not worry about the score.

Of course, Cali had to give it a try too.

We had gone bowling with some friends that used to live in San Jose, and now live in Calagary.  It IS getting to be a small world.  Afterwards we hit the local popular drive through joint and enjoyed a chocolate maple walnut shake.  Yum!!
