Laney

Yep, this picture sums up the last month with Laney.  Don't get me wrong, she's still an incredibley sweet gentle girl.....she's just really cranked up the whole independance thing a lot.  It's her way, or the highway.  Tell me it's just a phase!!   (haha, the title of a book I'm reading right now, actually)

In other news, Laney ran her first race!!  She ran a whole .5 mile!!   True, she wasn't the fastest one in the group (she was racing against the whole junior primary), and she ran with her arms up like this most of the time, but still we're so proud of her for finishing and running the WHOLE time.  Brad especially couldn't have been prouder.  He's already dreaming of watching her in track races.  I know, it's a little too early to tell, but it's fun to dream about right?
