So for a few months, possibly even years, I've been trying to convince Brad that it was time to trade in his 95 Infiniti G20 for a new car. He didn't see why, it hadn't given him any real trouble, and it was paid off. My reasoning was that it has 150,000 miles, and was a ticking time bomb (sounded like one too). But Prince (my family has a tradition of naming our cars after Disney characters. This is prince charming, since it was the car Brad drove when we met. He likes to refer to it as the Fresh Prince, a little more masculine) really has been a great car. After 150k miles it gave us minimum trouble, and got great gas mileage, even after that number had dipped the past few years, 28 mpg ain't bad. Brad bought it for 5,000, 6 years ago. It retails for 3,000. Not bad for leather seats, a CD player that works, dual power seats, and power everything. Unfortunately, I was right. When we went to trade it in, the mechanic noticed some things that needed to be fixed in order to sell it at retail value (he wasn't just pullin our chain either, I agreed). So we had to let him go for about 1700. Still, not a bad depreciation. So Ryan (Brad's bro) just started a car dealership selling salvage title cars (check it out at http://www.buyakeycar.com/). He found the perfect little white Civic for Brad. It doesn't have all the fun extras that even an older Infiniti comes with, but it comes with the basics and even a plug in for the iPod, sweet!!! And, to top if off, better gas mileage. Did I mention gas is 4.55 here and is expect to go up another .23 by the end of the summer? Ouch. So I would just like to say thank you Prince for being such a great car and always giving your best.
