Laney has been able to walk since about her 1st birthday, but she didn't do it much b/c she didn't like falling down. So instead she would content herself with trotting along side me holding onto one of my fingers, or pushing the cart at Costco. I just knew, that one day she would take off, and this last weekend she did. We were babysitting Brady, her church buddy who is a month younger than her and has been walking since 9 months, on Friday. She went crazy walking everywhere, and she didn't even fall that much. Three days later, she's now running everywhere.
As some know, we've been trying to teach Laney sign language, and a few weeks ago she picked up a few signs. Now suddenly it's clicked, this is how I ask for what I want!! It has made such a difference, she rarely gets frustrated or fussy (except of course when she's tired or we leave her alone). And she's already saying some of those first signs she learned. So if anyone has a baby who gets frustrated easily, and can't figure out why they're crying all the time........teach them sign language!! And it's ridiculously cute when your 1 year old signs "more please".
We packed up our spaghetti dinner and went to the park last night for FHE. It is just so amazing doing family stuff together.
Laney just couldn't leave this hill unconquered.
