How did we spend our 4th of July? We saw a parade of redwood trees, saw a magnificent display of stars that would rival any firework show, and woke up to the light filtering down upon our humble camp site. Yes, that's right, we went camping. No fireworks or parades (truth be told, I strongly dislike parades anyway). And we stood true to the advice we offered in our last post about camping, we took some really great friends.
We didn't have to arrive hours early to get the best seats in the house!

Laney had a great time playing Mommy to Tommy, Brady, and Cali
And Uncle Brock taught Brad a few pointers on how to scare off any boys who might hurt his sweet little girls.
And true to modern times, he taught her how to defend herself. Haha.
